Advice & Mentoring for Individuals

We offer confidential advice and mentoring for artists, programmers and arts managers at all stages of their careers in the form of one-to-one professional development planning, business and organisational consultancy, skills audits, sector specific seminars and training programmes.

Each of our services can be mixed and matched with others, depending on individual needs. We examine, test and agree those needs at the initial session.

Services for Arts Managers

Through tailored advice and mentoring, we work with arts and creative industries professionals to enable them to develop skills to make the most of their careers through sessions which include:

  • Moving your career on - Initiating Change
  • Facing a Career Challenge – Making the best of change
  • Management & Leadership Coaching

Services for Artists & Practitioners

We can help emerging artists plan their way forward if they are setting out to work in the cultural and creative sector, trying to finance and make a living from their creative practice or establishing a business or organisation in the sector.

We also work with established or mid career artists to find tools and information to help them reflect on their creative and career progress and plan changes to improve their working practices. Services include:

  • Portfolio sessions – discussing work and critical engagement
  • Advice sessions – being and managing yourself as an artist
  • Mentoring for artists and arts managers

During 2007 and 2007, we worked with over 30 individual artists and craftspeople from East Kent to develop individual professional development plans as part of the Visualize the Future programme supported by the East Kent Local Authority Arts Partnership

In 2004, we worked with the Cultural Enterprise Office, Glasgow on the creation and delivery of individual training packages and mentoring in business planning for small and medium sized arts, craft and design organisations as part of a Scottish Arts Council initiative
